Last Day of Summer!

It’s the last day of Summer! Despite pandemics and political issues all around the world it has been a good summer. I was able to hang with my friend Shady, the cat, due to working from home.

My original plan for the summer was to go to Kings Island every day and ride the new giga coaster, Orion and watch the fireworks. That did not work out so well. I had to focus on riding my bike, skating and working on the house instead.

There were some good creative breakthroughs as well. I started working on new music and art. Worked on new guitar techniques. We also rearranged the studio and have it set up good now.

Other fun things this summer were live online shows from Clutch, Behemoth and Ron Carter.

We grew tons of vegetables in the garden. The flower gardens got taller than me.

Darcy and I took a trip up to have a slice of one of our favorite pizzas at Flying Pizza. Haven’t had one since they closed the Loveland shop. Mostly, this summer, I worked from home and played at home.

This time last year I was on a trip to Paris with Darcy and her family. That was amazing. Who would know a year later I wouldn’t even be able to leave the country. Hopefully, 0ne day, we will be able to travel again. There are so many awesome places I would like to visit around the world. For now we will have communicate and share art and music virtually.

Last week I had to pull out the hoodie and have been wearing it daily. Had to turn on the warming mat for Shady a few days ago. Today I got out the space heater to put beside my desk for the next 6 months or more. It’s time to get out the warm clothes and prepare to get creative indoors.

Here’s to a great fall!
